Growing Climbing Roses Makes a Beautiful Rose Garden

Growing climbing roses can be an interesting experience for any gardener looking for a new project. Having roses in your garden will not only give your home an elegant touch but you will also be able to benefit from the wonderful aroma- therapeutic smells of roses and health benefits from the petals of the plant. Many people enjoy using these specific types of roses in vertical gardens. But do not confuse the name of these roses with vines because climbing roses do not actually support their own weight. They use vertical space to latch onto and support their weight by growing onto it.

Growing Roses and Types of Climbing Roses
A great place to have your climbing rose to grow on is an arbor or on a trellis. Nevertheless, be creative with your rose garden designs. These types of roses can also grow onto a variety of other places such as on columns or pillars, fences or a garden shed. You can decorate anything you have in your garden to hide their real structure with beautiful and elegant roses. Climbing roses come in a wide variety that will always come back to bloom the following season. Some of the most common types of climbing roses are climbing grandifloras, climbing polyanthus, climbing tea roses, climbing floribundas and climbing hybrid teas.

Factors to Keep in Mind While Planting
Planting these roses can be very simple but you should have a few facts in mind. You cannot just plant the flower carelessly and without good thought. If this happens, then you may not be able to enjoy these flowers to the maximum and they may not return or have a long life span. These flowers can grow rapidly so make sure that you have a designated space for all of them. The roots need to expand so you cannot plant rose bushes to close together either. Keep in mind how many plants you want to plant and how large your garden is.

Roses need lots of sunlight so where ever you want to plant these flowers, make sure that the rose bush is receiving at least four to six hours of direct sunlight each day. If you are going to decorate a certain trellis or pillar, you should have the plans all mapped out as to how you would like to go about growing the plant onto the garden structure.

Details About Climbing Roses
Climbing roses that are very well maintained can grow up to 30 feet tall, which is very incredible and can look luxurious when creeping up a beautiful trellis. However, the size of the plant is usually determined by the species. The Climbing Cecile Brunner rose plant can grow up to 30 feet tall while the Westerland Rose climbing plant can only grow about 7 feet in the air. Depending on how tall you need or would like your beautiful rose plant to grow, you may want to choose the right type of species of plant for its growing requirements.
